THE BIBLE
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, revealed to us. The holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the verbal, plenary, inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and practice, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed. We seek to conserve, promote, and advance God's Word, translated as accurately as possible, into the heart language of as many as possible, to be understood, embraced, and obeyed as readily as possible. (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12–13).
GOD
We believe God is real and that He desires a relationship with us. There is one, and only one, living and true God; infinite, eternal, self-existing, perfect Spirit; He is a personal Being, the creator and upholder of the universe. In the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; equal in essence and in every divine perfection; but having distinct functions. (Deut. 6:4, 5; Ps. 2:2; 139:1-16; Isa. 48:16; Jer. 10:10; Matt. 3:16, 17; 28:19; John 3:16; 4:24; 10:30; 15:26; 17:5; I Cor. 8:6; II Cor. 13:14; Phil. 2:5, 6; Heb. 1:12; 3:4; James 1:17.
CREATION
We believe God is the Creator of all things. The biblical account of creation is to be accepted literally and not figuratively; that man was created directly in God’s own image and after His own likeness and did not evolve from any lower form of life; and the work of creation was completed in six solar (24 hour) days (Gen. 1:1-2:26; Heb. 11:3).
SIN
We believe that man, although created without sin by one transgression fell so that all mankind are now sinners by state, disposition, and act; justly under condemnation and that man is totally depraved and of himself utterly unable to remedy this lost condition (Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:22–23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–12).
SALVATION
We believe that the only way of salvation for sinners is by grace made possible by the substitutionary death of the Son of God, Jesus, Who, though eternally God was born of the virgin, Mary; lived a perfect, sinless life; shed His precious blood on the cross; arose bodily from the grave; and ascended to reign on high (Ephesians 2:8–10; Ephesians 1:7; 1 Peter 1:18–19; John 1:12).
CHURCH
We believe that church plays a vital role in the life of each believer in God’s plan for this age in history. The church is a congregation of believers who have been baptized upon their confession of faith in Christ. The church meets regularly to worship and learn about God, connect with others, and serve God and others. The church is governed by God’s laws; exercises the gifts, rights and privileges invested in the church by God’s Word; and its officers are pastors and deacons--men whose qualifications, claims and duties are clearly defined in the Scripture. We hold that the local church has the absolute right of self-government free from the interference of any hierarchy of individuals or organizations—ecclesiastical or political; that the one and only superintendent is Christ through the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19, 20; Acts 2:41, 42; I Cor. 11:23-26; I Tim. 3:1-16; II Tim. 3:15, 16; 4Titus 1:5-9).
FAMILY & MARRIAGE
We believe that God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. We believe the Scripture defines marriage as the joining of one man and one woman as husband and wife, and that marriage is designed by God as a lifetime commitment. We believe that man and woman are spiritually equal in position before God, but that God has ordained distinct and separate spiritual functions for men and women in the home and the church. We believe God has commanded that no sexual intimacy be engaged in outside of the marriage between a man and a woman (Gen. 2:24; 19:5,13; 268-10; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; 7:2; 1 Cor. 5:1; 6:9; 7:10; Gal. 3:28; Col 3:18; 1 Tim. 2:8-15; 3:4-5,12: 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
LOVE FOR OTHERS
We believe that we should demonstrate love for others, not only toward fellow believers, but also toward those who are not believers, those who oppose us, and those who engage in sinful actions. We are to deal with those who oppose us graciously, gently, patiently, and humbly. God forbids the stirring up of strife, the taking of revenge, or the threat or use of violence as a means of resolving personal conflict or obtaining personal justice. Although God commands us to abhor sinful actions, we are to love and pray for any person who engages in such actions (Lev. 19:18; Matt. 5:44-48; Luke 6:31; John 13:34-35; Rom. 12:9-10; 17-21; 13:8-10; Phil. 2:2-4; 2 Tim. 2:24-26; Titus 3:2; I Peter 3:8-9; 1 John 3:17-18).
PROTECTION OF CHILDREN
We believe that children are a heritage from the Lord and must be absolutely protected within the church from any form of abuse or molestation. The church has zero tolerance for any person, whether paid staff, volunteer, member, or visitor, who threatens the emotional or physical safety of a child (Ps. 127:3-5; Matt. 18:6; Matt. 19:14; Mark 10:14).
SANCTITY OF LIFE
We believe life is a gift of God and must be respected and defended from conception until natural death (Exodus 20:13, 23:7; Psalm 51:5; 139:14–16; Isaiah 44:24; 49:1; Jeremiah 1:5; 20:15–18; Luke 1:44).

FUTURE EVENTS
- We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment (Matthew 25:46; John 5:28–29, 11:25–26; Revelation 20:5-6, 12–15).
- We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and immediately present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection, when spirit, soul and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord (Luke 23:43; Revelation 20:4–6; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 1:23; I Thessalonians 4:16–17).
- We believe that the souls of unbelievers remain, after death, in conscious misery until the second resurrection and judgment of the great white throne at the close of the millennium, when, with the soul and body reunited, they shall be cast into the Lake of Fire (Luke 16:19–26; Matthew 25:41–46; 2 Thessalonians 1:7–9; Mark 9:43–48; Revelation 20:11–15).
